Sierra Video (Nevada City, CA) - Director of Product Development & Marketing
PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Director of Product Development and Marketing is responsible for the development and execution of the product marketing strategy and plans for Sierra Video Systems products/solutions in consultation with the Sierra Direct Sales force, the Sierra Engineering group, as well as Kramer US and other Kramer offices worldwide. This position reports to the VP of Sales at Sierra Video Systems. Key responsibilities are:
- management of product marketing activities for Sierra Video Systems. Create programs to enable the Sierra and Kramer sales force and to increase revenue
- understand competitor positioning to determine how to best market and position Sierra products
NATURE AND SCOPE/PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Working closely with sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing and operations, the Director of Product Development and Marketing will:
- be the leadership of the Marketing department, supporting a constant flow of new and refreshed products
- develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities
- oversee the execution of all new products from conception to shipping
- develop and implement product positioning strategies and materials
- conduct intensive and ongoing competitive and partner research to continually ensure appropriate responses to competitive and partner actions
- work with the sales team to provide training on product releases and sales tools
- travel to outbound events and other field marketing activities to support Sierra and Kramer activities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
Education
- Post Secondary degree in Marketing
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in professional Audio/Video/Broadcast industries
- technical knowledge of large format Routing switchers
Special Skills, Knowledge, Other
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent program development and management skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize projects
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Team player who thrives in a dynamic small company environment

Responsible for the maintenance and ongoing support of wideband analog and high definition (HD) digital video routers and terminal equipment.
This ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
- Be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
- Have at least 5 years experience with mixed signal circuitry.
- Have experience following schematics and hardware layout documentation.
- Experience in component level trouble shooting.
- Familiarity using video test equipment.
- Proficient with Microsoft office.
The following requirements are a definite plus:
- Have experience with television broadcast and/or presentation video equipment.
- Experience with HD-SDI and analog video equipment.
- Experience with analog and digital audio.
- Experience with video systems installations.
- Experience with TCP/IP control and networking.

Sierra Video (Nevada City, CA) - Senior Hardware Design Engineer
Responsible for the design, development, and ongoing support of wideband analog and high definition (HD) digital video routers and terminal equipment.
This ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
- Be self motivated and also comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
- Have at least 5 years experience with mixed signal circuit design.
- Have experience with Altera FPGA design and development.
- Have experience with OrCAD schematic and layout tools.
- Have experience with embedded systems and microcontroller design.
The following requirements are a definite plus:
- Experience designing television broadcast and/or presentation video equipment.
- Experience with designing high-speed (~1.5 to 3Gb/sec) data.
- Experience with wideband analog design (up to 450 MHz).
- Experience with systems engineering.
- Experience with data compression and/or video over IP.
- Experience with 3D modeling of RF connectors and PCB layouts. (Sonnet, Microwave Studio etc.).

Kramer Electronics is looking for sales people to fill Regional Sales Managers (RSM) positions for Sierra Video products in the West territories of the USA. These positions are new and are part of an already existing Kramer sales organization focusing primarily on the Sierra Video products.
The candidate will be responsible for working with the existing Kramer sales team in their territory to meet established sales targets. This individual will have responsibility for calling on both the Dealer network as well as end users to generate opportunities for the Sierra Video products. Providing feedback to the Sierra marketing and product development teams will be an important function of this individual.
Successful candidates must have the following qualifications:
- knowledge of the professional Audio/Video industry
- knowledge of the Broadcast video industry
- technical knowledge on large format Routing switchers
- ability to work as part of a team or individually
- sales professional
- excellent communication skills both written and oral
- strong organization and time management skills

Regional Sales Managers are responsible for identifying opportunities for Sierra Product sales. This will be executed through leveraging and supporting the current Kramer/Sierra dealer base in the region. Dealer recruitment will also be an important function of this position. Identifying and pursuing dealers deemed as strategically important to the territory will be required.
